Parade "Victory Parade"
On occasion of the celebration of the Croatian National Day, on 30 May 1995 a parade was held on Jarun Lake in Zagreb, as the greatest review of all arms of the Croatian armed forces. More than 3700 participants took part in the march-past, about 220 combat vehicles, about 40 aircraft, patrol and amphibious assault boats, pontoon amphibians, one submarine and parachutes. Special attention was drawn by lances IB-94 Huracane, with 380 km range, tanks M84 and MIGs 21 and 24.
Parade "Victory Wall"
The parade started on 30 May 1997 on Croatian National Day and on Day of the Croatian Armed Forces with the Parade Command marching past the reviewing stand in the sports-recreational centre Jarun and with an overflight of 3 aircraft MIG-21 leaving a trace of the Croatian tricolored flag. The echelon of the Croatian Navy Fleet started concurrently in the Channel of Brač. Rocket launchers King Petar Krešimir IV and Šibenik, 4 assault and mine-laying ships (Cetina, Krka, DJČ 101 and DJČ 103) took part and patrol ships Šolta and Hrvatska Kostajnica together with submarine Velebit. Echelons followed the parade command with standard-bearers with flags and 14 historical units, education and training echelon, conscripts echelon, joint operational command echelon and amphibious-airborne assault exercise. Afterwards, 8 helicopters MI-8 overflew in guards combat unit followed by reservist squad and finally by fire strike from 2 canons, 4 rocket units assisted by helicopters KI-24 hind nd 9 aircraft MIG-21 BIS.
2nd World Military Games
2nd World Military Games were held in Zagreb from 8 to 17 August 1999, under high auspices of the Croatian President Dr. Franjo Tuđman. Competitions were held in 24 sports and representatives from 78 countries competed for medals. Sportsmen from 4 countries took part as observers. 6290 foreign citizens and 674 journalists were accredited and accommodated during the games. Croatia participated with 344 sportsmen and won 43 medals, of which 11 were golden medals, 12 silver and 20 bronze medals. Opening of the games was on 8 August from 20 to 23 p.m. at stadium "Croatia" in Zagreb and closing was on 17 August at 21 p.m. in the Sports Hall in Zagreb
Musical Festival of the Croatian Armed Forces "Early Croatian three-strand pattern"
Designed and organized in the NCO school of the Croatian Army "Jastrebarsko", the musical festival of the Croatian Armed Forces
"Early Croatian three-strand pattern" was held for the first time on the Day of the Croatian Armed Forces and Croatian National Day, on 27 May 1995 in Jastrebarsko. It gathered eminent musical performers and composers who performed songs created in units during Homeland War. Majority of the authors and performers were in those Croatian Armed Forces units. The festival was held under high auspices of the Commander-in-Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces. It was held for five years in Jastrebarsko and the last one was held in 2000 in Karlovac.
