Dear visitors to the CAF WEB pages

Visit of the Hungarian Chief of General Staff

Today, June 3, a delegation of the Hungarian Armed Forces headed by Lieutenant General Zoltan Szenes came on a two-day visit to the Croatian Armed Forces.
After good relationships between the two countries had been confirmed, the talks about military education and training, regional cooperation, and peace support operations were conducted.
Lieutenant General Zoltan Szenes, Hungarian Chief of General Staff and Chief of Hungarian Home Guard, shared with his Croatian hosts positive and negative experience of the Hungarian approach to NATO.

Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces General Josip Lucić

On Monday, October 4, 2004, the Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Josip Lucić, received the Hungarian Military Bishop Dr. Tamas Szabo, who had visited the Military Ordinariate the day before, and had also participated in the 12th Military Pilgrimage to the national shrine Marija Bistrica. Besides the Hungarian Military Bishop, the Croatian Military Ordinary, Monsignor Juraj Jezerinac, and the General Vicar of the Military Ordinariate, Monsignor Josip Šantić attended the reception. At the end of the meeting, General Lucić presented Dr. Szabo with the gold plaque of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces.

12th CROATIAN MILITARY PILGRIMAGE TO THE NATIONAL SHRINE MARIJA BISTRICA

Twelfth traditional pilgrimage of the Croatian military and police to the national shrine Marija Bistrica was held the first Sunday in October (October 3, 2004). Several thousands pilgrims from all units and commands of the Croatian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Croatian Firefighters’ Association, Historical Military Units Association and civilian pilgrims participated in the Eucharist led by Monsignor Juraj Jezerinac, Croatian Military Ordinary. The Minister of Defense, Mr. Berislav Rončević participated in the pilgrimage and attended the Mass, together with the Minister of Interior, Mr. Marijan Mlinarić and the Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Josip Lucić.
